Bush makes little girl cry
President Bush has added another mark on his long list of public gaffes. We are all used to his usual mangling of the English language as we know it. But now he has added a new twist to his public speaking repertoire. That of making little girls cry. Yes, the President cares not enough to watch his P’s and Q’s in front of the young impressionable minds of the American Population.
“Mr. President, I know immigration has been a big problem in the U.S. And what is your next step with the immigration bill?” Jessica Hackard, from Brecksville, Ohio asked Mr. Bush, during a question and answer period after a speech Mr. Bush gave to a Cleveland business group.
His reply? A sarcastic, wry “yeah, thanks”.
Her response? Tears! She claimed that she was crying because she was so nervous, but then also mentioned “I heard that too”, when asked about the answer she received from the President.
Jessica continued to wipe the tears from her eyes for several minutes, even after President Bozo the Clown tried to make her feel better by saying, “It’s a great question by the way, and I’m glad you asked it.” But by this time it was too late; the damage had already been done.
Now before everybody gets in a tiff and accuses her of being a “plant” to ask the question to the President, she said that the reason she asked the question about immigration was because her father had often engaged her in conversation about the subject, hence she felt it would be a good question to ask the President.
Good for you Jessica. Keep asking questions, and never stop until you are satisfied with the answer. Only next time, you might want to ask a person who actually KNOWS something about the topic.
And to President Bush, nice way of encouraging today’s youth to get involved in the issues of our society! You should be ashamed of yourself.
