Cialis or animal tidbits, which will China prefer?
The makers of Cialis is promising China marital bliss by hoping Chinese couples will choose it’s product over traditional aphrodisiacs.
According to a survey the drug maker released today, it claims that 45 percent of middle-aged Chinese couples had experienced erectile dysfunction problems.
45% of the world’s most populace country is a lot of people! That’s about 35 million Chinese men suffer from some sort erectile dysfunction the survey claims.
Qiu Xiaolan, a psychologist hired by Lilly (the makers of Cialis) makes this profound statement as part of the company’s campaign to educate the public: “This drug is effective, because men are like light bulbs. They can be turned on and off easily. Women are like irons, they need a long time to heat up, but also a long time to cool down.” It is also reported that 10 percent of divorce cases center on sexual dysfunction as the leading cause. The Supreme People’s Court has ruled sexual dysfunction that cannot be cured is proper grounds for divorce.
Although rival drugs Viagra and Levitra has been marketed in China since 2000, the percentage of men suffering from erectile dysfunction still remains high.
Obviously the traditional Chinese aphrodisiacs aren’t effective, but still highly in demand, probably because of tradition. Pulverized horns from animals are popular ‘traditional’ Chinese aphrodisiacs. The meat of a near extinct anteater, the Pangolin is in high demand. The South China Tiger’s ‘parts’ are revered as the cure all of all cures. Tiger parts claimed to be aphrodisiacs are: Bones, Fat, Liver, and of course the Penis. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands more animals that have ‘parts’ considered by the traditional Chinese to have aphrodisiac benefits. Some of these animals are close to extinction, but yet still slaughtered needlessly for ‘traditional’ medicines.
It’s time for this country to get on the band wagon and join the modern medical age. If the ‘purple pill’ can’t get the job done for you, I doubt whether moth fungus and tiger penis tea will.
