Olbermann takes the gloves off, and soundly slaps President Bush

Keith Olbermann tonight on MSNBC’s Countdown took President Bush to the mat and gave him a well deserved verbal beating. Actually a good ol’ fashioned ass kicking would be a better description.

In response to the President’s less than inspiring press conference, Olbermann took him to task about his evasive side stepping of the issues, and cowardly use of General Petraeus as his personal spokesman.

After several uppercuts and body shots, Keith leveled a blinding right hook to the President’s chin, which succinctly sums up Bush’s pathetic rein as President:

“But Mr. Bush, you have hidden behind the General’s skirts, and today you have hidden behind the skirts of “the planted last question” at a news conference, to indicate once again that your presidency has been about the tilted playing field, about no rules for your party in terms of character assassination and changing the fabric of our nation, and no right for your opponents or critics to as much as respond.”

“That, sir, is not only un-American , it is dictatorial.

This special comment on Countdown is without a doubt his best observation of the man known as George W. Bush.

This clip should be mandatory viewing by all those in Congress and the Senate.
