Conyers Pulls Contempt Trigger…Finally

John Conyers, House Judiciary Committee Chair finally introduces contempt resolutions against White House chief of staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers, for failing appear before Congress as part of the U.S. attorney firings investigation.

Both Bolten and Miers claimed “Executive Privilege” for not appearing.

Could it finally be happening, although slowly, that Conyers is starting to clean up the riff raff that has squated in the White House for the past 7 years? Up until these two resolutions filed this evening the only realenemy of the Bush Administration has been ‘the truth.’

Let’s hope that after today, Conyers gets the bug and starts putting the pressure on the rest of the Administration’s ‘evil doers’ and brings some sort of accountability back to the White House.
