House Republicans Walkout, and Bush Pushes Fear

The people who voted Bush to power for a second term must be so proud of themselves! All Bush seems capable of doing well is 1:) lying, and 2:) spreading fear, which of course ended up in this country starting an illegal war and occupation of Iraq.

Today, while the immature Republican members of Congress children staged a walkout to protest the vote of contempt charges being brought against former White House staff members pals, rather than rubber stamp a flawed wiretapping bill. “Allowing the Protect America Act to expire would undermine our national security and endanger American lives, and that is unacceptable,” said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.

President Bush also spoke about the chaos that is inevitable if Congress fails to pass legislation that would include immunity to the telecommunications companies that broke the law, at his request. The impending threat was so critical that Bush said he would delay his planned trip to Africa and stay in Washington to help Congress complete their work on the bill.

Sen. Reid accused Bush of attempting to “manufacture a crisis.” Which in my opinion is a pretty accurate description of Bush’s behavior. “My attitude is, if the bill was good enough then, why not pass the bill again?,” Bush said at a press conference from the White House’s south lawn.
Bush obviously doesn’t understand that the “attitude” of the people think the opposite of the bill, that it is wrong and illegal. Which is probably why Bush doesn’t understand because the words wrongand illegalmean nothing to him.

In typical Bush fashion, he sticks out his chest and says he’ll veto the bill if it doesn’t contain retroactive immunity for the illegal wiretappers. In other words, this has nothing to do with protecting America but rather protecting his partners in crime!

The most shacking part of all this was a display by Nancy Pelosi of signs she just might yet have a spine starting to grow! “He has all the authority he needs to protect the American people,” Pelosi said. Specifically, if allowing the Protect America Act to expire would really put the U.S. at risk, the president would never have threatened to veto a bill extending it, Pelosi said.

Touche! Bush knows his reign of fear is nearing it’s end, and so is his intricate web of lies and deceit he subjected this country to. He must also know that if Telecom’s heads are going to roll because of illegal wiretapping, they will take him down with them!

Run along Mr. President, we’ll be fine while your in Africa.
