Secret Service Did Not Screen People at Obama Rally Because They “Seemed Friendly”
If anything would have smacked as a conspiracy in the Democratic Nomination race, it would have been if anything had happened to Barrack Obama during a rally at Dallas’ Reunion Arena.
In what is a mind boggling decision by the Secret Service to order security details at the rally to let people into the event without being checked or inspected, is just plain stupid!
The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security. “Sure,” said Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, when asked if he was concerned by the great number of people who had gotten into the building without being checked. But, he added, the turnout of more than 17,000 people seemed to be a “friendly crowd.”
I just can’t believe that the person in charge of the Secret Service’s detail to protect Obama would give the order to not screen people at such a public event! Every person in this race, be it Clinton or McCain, or Huckabee, or Paul deserves to be protected by the Secret Service. Not only deserves it, but I’m sure they expect it as well.
The last thing this country needs is another John Hinckley trying to prove a point.
