A picture of Barack Obama wearing traditional African Dress during a visit to
The picture which was sent to the Drudge Report was reportedly circulated by “
But on the other hand, Obama staffers view the photograph as very offensive. David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager accused Mrs Clinton’s aides of “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election”.
Why is the Obama camp getting it’s undies all bunched up over this? Personally I don’t understand the significance of the picture. So what if Obama was given the garb as a gift by elders in North-Eastern Africa while he was visiting. It’s a non-issue, and has no place in the Democratic contest.
If the picture has changed anybodies mind as to who they were going to vote for in the end, then they weren’t really that committed to that individual in the first place. Let’s just stick with the issues please.
“What is Fox News? It’s just a parade of propaganda, isn’t it? It’s just a festival of ignorance,” Lee Camp, a guest on Fox & Friends said to the host yesterday at the end of his interview. The look on the host’s face was priceless, and the best he could do was quickly move to the next story, a piece on Star Trek’s Captain Kirk.
I guess that is the best Fox can due when faced with the truth!

Bush Presidential Library Foundation, proudly boasts: “How fitting is it that this storied political life that began here in Texas will write its final chapters right here in the good old Lone Star State and right here at this campus?” He also goes on to say the center would “celebrate this great president, celebrate his accomplishments.”
He’s talking about the same George W. Bush that has been President of this country for the past 7 years, right? I thought so. So that being the case, then what exactly is the center going to “celebrate?” Which accomplishments does he think are worthy of being celebrated?
I fail to see how the least popular President in History would have done anything worthy to celebrate! His so-called storied political life began with an arrest and mugshot for a DUI and it hasn’t gotten any better from that point on. His policies while President have been based on lies and fear tactics to get his way.
Here’s some of his accomplishments:
He started a war based on lies.
He illegally authorized wiretapping of American Citizens.
He authorized the use of illegal torture techniques against terror suspects.
He and his Administration cronies have run rough shod over the Constitution.
Yup, these are a few of the accomplishments of Bush’s Presidency that are worth celebrating, just like you would if you were to pass a kidney stone.
No, a center worthy of celebrating Bush’s storied political life, and his accomplishments would fit in a building the size of an outhouse. And just like an outhouse, Bush’s Presidential library will be a place you don’t really want to go into, and you won’t be able to get out of fast enough!

Sphere: Related ContentOh, I see how it works now! The only people in this country that can expect their civil rights be upheld are U.S. Congressmen trying to clear their name from a guilty plea of disorderly conduct. The rest of us have to suck it up in the name of “keeping America safe” by not knowing when and how our every actions or words are being recorded. Apparently we have to Constitutions in this country! One for them which they wave in our faces whenever they need Constitutional protection. And one for us which is just a goddamned piece of paper!
The Larry ‘I’m not gay’ Craig issue is back again. But who really cares at this point what the gay/not gay Republican Congressman has to say about how he wasn’t looking for sex in a Minneapolis Airport Washroom. It’s how his lawyers are trying to get him off the hook that has me pissed!
During another appeal attempt by Craig to get his guilty plea withdrawn, his lawyers contend that even if Craig “had used hand signals to communicate a desire for sex, such actions would be constitutionally protected free speech.” And that “he had a legal expectation of privacy.”
So I think I have this straight now:
1: Larry Craig can use hand signals to proposition other men in a bathroom for sex, and it is considered constitutionally protected free speech. We the People can’t stand behind a sign protesting Bush’s Iraq war in public without fearing arrest!
2: Larry Craig has an expectation of privacy when he propositions gay sex in a public washroom. We the People are subjected to having our phone calls tapped and emails monitored while in the privacy of our own homes!
Isn’t it amazing how these politicians throw the Constitution in your face when it serves their personal needs, but when it gets in their way they quickly ignore it and call it a piece of paper!
One suggestion Larry: instead of picking up pieces of paper off the men’s room floor that you claim precipitated your arrest, maybe you should pick up the Constitution and read it. It really is worth defending, for the sake of everybody, not just your petty disorderly conduct plea!
