McCain: Some US Neighborhoods are Just Like Baghdad
John McCain tries to explain his ‘theory’ about how some neighborhoods in America are just like Baghdad, then quickly realized that he just exposed himself as a mirror image of George Bush.
Last New Years eve, thousands of people in Baghdad turned out in the streets for the first time in years to welcome the new year, because they have a safe environment. There are problems in America with safe neighborhoods, as we well know. Now I’m not making that comparison because its very…its much more deadly, obviously in Iraq. But its kind of the same theory.
John McCain, the man who once toured Baghdad with an armed military escort, air support, and body armor, proclaimed there “are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today,” to prove that Americans are not getting the full picture of what’s going on in Iraq.
Obviously, as McCain wants us to believe we are not getting the full picture of what’s going on in our own neighborhoods either! Damn, and I gave my security detail the day off, my Kevlar is at the tailors, and my Apache Helicopter is in for service, and I need milk!
If McCain’s ‘theory’ was to explain that he is as out of touch as Bush is when it comes to Iraq, well then “Mission Accomplished!”
