Bush’s Testament to Self in Danger of Finding Financiers

The George W. Bush Presidential monument Library will face serious problems raising the estimated $250 million needed to build it, say his friends. Citing his unpopularity and the recession slowing of the economy, as reasons they feel it will be tough for the money to be raised.

When asked in February about the fundraising situation, Bush replied with, “I’ll probably take some foreign money but don’t know yet. We just announced the deal, and I, frankly, have been focused elsewhere, like on gasoline prices and, you know, my trip to Africa and haven’t seen the fundraising strategy yet.”

Well then, I guess that settles that! The project should be canceled due to lack of raising the money to build it, which can be directly blamed on Bush’s unpopularity and the recession, which in turn can be blamed on President Bush himself being the least popular President in History.

Maybe the proposed building site should be used to construct the George W. Bush Presidential Soup Kitchen instead. The way the economy is going, a soup kitchen to feed the homeless will be a better testimonial to Bush’s Presidency than a library will.
