Rove’s Arrogance Puts Money in His Pockets, Lots of Money

$40,000 says Karl Rove can take whatever you have to say to him, and keep the smile on his face. Why would he keep smiling after being hurled verbal abuse? It’s a combination of his arrogance, and the $40,000 in his pocket that keeps him coming back for more.

“Bush’s Brain”, “The Architect”, “The Turd Blossom,” knows exactly how he’s viewed upon in the public eye. He also knows what he’s done during the Bush Administration, and how those doings are perceived in the real world. Does he care? Hardly, because the arrogance and money won’t let him.

During a speech at the University of Iowa last night, a hostile crowd showed up to listen to Rove, and ask questions about his time as Bush’s right hand man. Organizers said that what was expected to be a controversial event, lived up to it’s billing. In other words, the University paid Rove a whole schwack of money and got nothing in return, at least nothing that nobody already knew about him.

During the event Rove defended himself by calling questioners “stupid minded”, and “simple minded, ” at one time saying, “You got a chance to ask your questions later and make your stupid statements, let me make mine”

Asked about his refusal to participate in the trial of exposed CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson, Rove responded with, “I haven’t been indicted yet, but I fully expect to be by the end of the year.”

Near the end of the talk, someone shouted from the crowd, ‘Can we have our $40,000 back?’ At which Rove responded, “No, you can’t.”

David Goodner, who helped organize the event said afterwards “He did exactly what I knew he was going to do, which is lie, obfuscate and smear the truth.”

Why are these universities, the “houses of higher learning,” giving people like Rove, and Gonzales a ton of money to appear before their student body and spout the same old crap they said while they were under George Bush’s employ? And then afterwards be shocked at the fact that they spent all this money and got nothing but the same old routine! Who are the “stupid minded” people now?

Karl Rove had his time in the spotlight, hopefully for the last time, and I see no productive reason to keep trying to put him under another one. Paying Rove $40,000 to stand in front of a hostile crowd and get heckled and booed serves no real purpose other than putting more money into his bank account.

It is my opinion that the only way to show Rove and other “loyal Bushies” that we disapproved of their actions then and will not stand for them now, is simply to let them be. The only public attention they are deserving of at this point will be when they stand in front of a judge to answer for their crimes against the Constitution of this country.
