Bush Hoping to Make Report Go Away?

It’s pretty hard to get the Genie back in the bottle after you’ve let it out. This seems to be what the Pentagon is trying to do with a report that found no link between Iraq and Al Queda. Only problem is though is the executive summary of the report has already been made public.

According to ABC News, the Pentagon’s original plans to post the report on the Joint Forces Command website this afternoon, but now says it will only be available to those who ask for it, and it will be sent by U.S. Mail.

I wonder if by only making the report public in this fashion, Bush thinks that the problem will just go away? Because sooner or later, somebody will post the report online anyway, so what’s the big deal? The world already knows that the report states it found no connection between Hussein and Al-Queda, so seeing the rest of the report shouldn’t be too much more of a surprise. Or will it?

Unless of course, the plan is to blame the post office for ‘losing’ all of those requested copies of the report!
