I’m getting so sick and tired of this B.S. that the Democratic Candidates’ handlers are spewing during their campaign battles, I wouldn’t be surprised if both their campaigns self destructed because of stupidity!

Lets start with the latest gaffe made by Hillary supporter and one time member of Hillary’s finance committee, Geraldine Ferraro. As we all know, because the press has been beating it like a dirty rug, she said something stupid. I’m not going to get into whether it was racist or not, because obviously some people have different views about it. My view of it is that it was a stupid thing to stay, only because it’s a non-issue in this race.

Hillary and Barrack, and their campaign staff need to realize that they should be concentrating their efforts on winning the votes to get into the White House, not to beat each other up in order to get there. This must not be allowed to come down to a grudge match between the two Democratic nominee contenders where race and gender are the main talking points. If it does, then the integrity and the unity of the party will surely be splintered as it vies for the Presidency.

Wouldn’t it be much wiser for the Democratic hopefuls to concentrate their attacks towards their Republican rival, who no doubt is sitting back and watching the Democratic children throw sand in each other’s faces? I mean really, come on people it’s time to get serious! Hillary is a woman, Barrack is an African American, it’s not a big secret, everybody nows it already, so why the constant rehashing of the facts?

People like Geraldine Ferraro should have just kept her pie hole shut. When she said, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position,” she should, and probably did know that there was going to be people that would call her a racist. So why did she say them? They obviously have no bearing on the nomination race to those of us that are only interested in what the candidates have to say. And that’s what it’s all about, right?

So now Geraldine has stepped down, by her own doing we are told. Good riddance Geraldine. But wait, she’s not done yet. Not only did she embarrass herself and claim that her words were taken out of context, but now she’s crying foul saying that “The Obama campaign is attacking me to hurt you. I won’t let that happen.”

Give me a break! If she thinks that by her playing the martyr in this story is going to be of any help to Hillary, she really is delusional! She brought this all on herself, and now she’s claiming to be the victim! What she said about Obama was a stupid thing to say. It’s not relevant when she said it, it’s not relevant now, and whatever Ferraro has to say in her own defense is not relevant either!

Let the candidates speak for themselves. It’s their words, it’s their political futures, it’s their race to win, or lose. Black, green, red, yellow, blue, orange, or even paisley, it doesn’t matter what the color is. What does matter is the best person for the job getting the Party’s nomination! Or has that been the forgotten goal?
