Economy Hits Home, or is it Tent?

We’ve all heard the news reports, and seen the numbers, but has anybody seen pictures of the economy? All of these people that lost their homes are now moving to new neighborhoods, new cities, tent cities that is.

The Government can bailout an investment firm in the blink of an eye, but the rest of the population has to wait for their so-called “help!”

As Bush continues to “be on top of the economy” and Cheney does some fishing from a yacht in the Middle East, more and more people are filing for unemployment benefits, and more and more people are losing their homes. Bush keeps claiming that in the long term, the economy will rebound back to its robust state. In the meantime, tent cities will undoubtedly be a more and more common site in our cities.

In two more months, these people will be on easy street though as this is when they will be getting their Government “help” in the form of a $300 rebate check! Yup, that $300 will sure help these people won’t they!

This video makes you think about the the saying, “Some people call it camping,” but this isn’t very funny at all.

  1. Undoubtedly it`s really depressing, I`ve never thought it could happen such powerful country or was it just pretension? I think that the things cannot be concealed anymore and people who are responsible for that are unable to keep the image of security. As I`m taking in consideration the prices for Vancouver real estate I have to say that it could happen in this city as well, however the employment figures are really encouraging. I think the US have to wake from a very deep dream started long long ago.

  2. As the old saying goes, unfortunately could hold true:
When the American economy gets a cold, the Canadian economy gets the flu!
