Pentagon: Uptick in Violence Caused By Surge Success

You know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach after eating a bad burrito, or after taking that one last shot of Tequila at your friend’s wedding? The one that as soon as you swallowed it, your brain kicked in and told you “you shouldn’t have done that,” and you inevitably spend the next several hours purging the contents of your stomach! You know, that feeling?

That’s the exact same feeling I got when I learned that the Pentagon’s ’spin’ team called the recent upswing in violence in Iraq, a byproduct of the surge’s success! According to Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said, “This has just begun this week,” he said. “But I think at this early stage, it looks as though it is a by-product of the success of the surge.”

“Not to worry folks. Move along, nothing to see here. The increased violence is only because the surge was soooo successful”.

What a crock of s**t!

  1. Less violence = Success
