Clinton: Delegates Schmelegates, They Can Vote However They Wish
Can this Democratic race get any muddier? Firstly, there is the “superdelegate,” who is not bound by any will of the public, meaning they can cast their vote for whoever they choose, and really for whatever reason they choose. Now, Hillary Clinton claims that “there is no such thing as a pledged delegate,” either!
At a media availability in Burbank, CA, Senator Clinton said”
“there is no such thing as a pledged delegate. That is a misnomer. There are delegates who are selected one way or another at some stage of the process.”
“The whole point is for delegates, however they are chosen, to really ask themselves who would be the best president and who would be our best nominee against Senator McCain. And I think that process goes all the way to the convention.”
So there you have it. The Democratic Party has “superdelegates” and they also have the “non-super, superdelegates.” Both kinds can ask themselves who would be the best president, and cast their vote accordingly. So my big question is then, why exactly are we even needed in this election process if the superdelegate, and “pledged” delegate can vote any way they wish?

You’re right, we’re not needed (or wanted).
But we should crash the party anyway. Do something crazy, like elect a bunch of Republican delegates to vote for Ron Paul!
