Another Sleep Deprived Story By Clinton?
Hillary Clinton seems to have a penchant lately for taking a little bit of truth, a little bit of drama, then mixes them up in a blender to get her speech material. Then she repeats them over and over in her stump speeches until even she actually believes these concoctions to be the truth.
First there was here “sniper” story. A little bit of truth was provided by the fact that she actually traveled to Bosnia. A little bit of drama was added by injecting some sniper fire fantasy. After the blender mixed these ingredients, she was left with a completely fabricated series of events that she told and retold, and retold some more on her stump speeches. With each telling of her heroic events on the tarmac that day as she and her daughter ran for their cars to seek cover from the hidden snipers, you could tell that she was even buying into her fairy tale. A fairy tale that ended up being a lie. And what was her response? She was sleep deprived, and thus mis-spoke about the events. Sure, whatever you say Hillary.
Not wanting to learn from the Bosnia episode it has come to light that Hillary has once again fabricated a story for her stump speeches. This time to get her point across about health care.
It’s no secret that the health insurance system in this country needs to be fixed. The companies that put profit before health need to be brought into check, so maybe that’s why Hillary’s latest stump speech seemed believable. But once again it was proved to have been augmented considerably by Hillary while on the campaign trail.
We’ve heard her passionate tale of an an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee. Sadly, the only truth to this story is the woman and her baby did die at an Ohio hospital. The rest of it, total B.S.
Hospital Administrators at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio say the woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, but that she was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.
Linda M. Weiss, a spokeswoman for the not-for-profit hospital, said the Clinton campaign had never contacted the hospital to check the accuracy of the story, which Mrs. Clinton had first heard from a Meigs County, Ohio, sheriff’s deputy in late February.
Using a story like this without even checking on its authenticity is not only irresponsible, but it also shows a lack of respect to the public. Granted she got this story third hand, but to repeat it several times without even learning the facts beforehand is inexcusable.what’s going to be more inexcusable will be reasoning behind her version of the events. Will it be another “mis-speak,” or another side effect of “sleep deprivation,” or maybe it will be the truth this time.
