Two Words: The Hague
Sources tell ABC News that Top Bush advisors approved ‘Enhanced Interrogation.’
As the Bush ship continues to sink, more and more dirty little secrets of this Administration are starting to leak out. The one in which the Bush Administration will undoubtedly be judged the harshest for is the use, or better yet “legalization” of torture. We’ve endured being lied to by Bush as he defiantly stood in front of the American people and the World and insisted “We do not torture.”
Well, in fact it has been proven that we do torture. Not we as a people, but rather they as our government. Bush’s most senior advisors convened secret meetings in the White House beginning in 2002 to discuss the use of “combined” interrogation techniques. As if torture wasn’t enough, they discussed using several techniques at once to coerce terror suspects to talk. These tactics included slapping, pushing, deprivation of sleep or subjecting them to simulated drowning, a.k.a waterboarding.
The members of the National Security Council’s Principals Committee, all approved of these techniques. Who are the members of the National Security Council’s Principals Committee, you ask? Well, we know them very well. Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, George Tenet, and John Ashcroft, are the ones who are responsible for bringing shame to this country by approving the use of torture.
So this Administration’s stance has gone from one of total denial, to “well, we kinda, sorta tortured,” to the revelation of a full blown conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity. At least one of the conspirators got something right out of their top secret meetings. According to a top official, Ashcroft asked aloud after one meeting: “Why are we talking about this in the White House? History will not judge this kindly.” Yes, yes I do believe he is correct in his assumption.

Torture? You call non lethal interigation torture? You don’t know what torture is or you would not call the items you pointed out torture. Compared to what the enemy does to us these are tame interrigation methods. Your sympathies should lie with the American military and not the enemy. Don’t cry too many tears for them, for they are the ones stoning their women, cutting off hands and heads, and doing all manner of dispicable things. We are in a fight for our way of life against a dark enemy that wants nothing short of the destruction of America replaced by Radical Islam. I think patriotism is dead on the left. To be patriotic is to say and do patriotic things. What patriotic things have those on the left done lately?
