Waiting… Waiting, Oh There It Is!

It was only a matter of time before Bush made a statement to “expand” on Amb. Crocker’s answer to Sen. Biden’s question yesterday about al-Qaeda in Iraq.

When pressed by Biden, Crocker finally answered the question of “where is al-Qaeda the biggest threat to the U.S., Iraq or along the Afghanistan border?” He answered, “I would therefore pick Al-Qaeda in the Pakistan/Afghanistan border area.”

His answer, I suspected would get under Bush’s skin, as Bush has always used al-Qaeda in Iraq as the real threat, so it was interesting to see not “if” Bush would respond to Crocker’s answer, but “when.” Well, it’s “when” time already!

Today, Main White House cheerleader, Dana Perino proclaimed:

“The president is concerned about both, but I have not heard him describe it as prioritizing one or the other. Al-Qaeda is dangerous, full stop.”

Isn’t it amazing that regardless of who says it, Bush still doesn’t get the fact that “America’s enemy number one” is suspected of being in the area of the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, not in Iraq! But instead he chose to invade a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 in the first place. Iraq’s only crime in this whole debacle was having an ass hole for a leader who threatened to kill Bush’s dad, and also happens to be sitting on top of the World’s largest oil reserve.

In the mean time, because of Bush’s misguided ignorance of the situation, the real terror threat or threats are still at large.
