National Security Adviser Needs an Atlas

Maybe National Security adviser Stephen Hadley was exhausted and misspoke, either that or he needs a geography lesson.

This morning on ABC’s This Week, Stephen Hadley repeatedly referred to Tibet as Nepal as he was making his case for Bush not boycotting the Beijing Olympics. During the interview with George Stephanopoulos, he referred to Nepal at least 8 times when talking about human rights abuses in Tibet. Shouldn’t a National Security adviser at least have a grasp of which country he is talking about?

By the time the clip of this interview circulates around the world via You Tube and others, I’m sure people will really be asking themselves just what, if any, credentials are needed to be a member of the Bush Administration? Or maybe they will be wondering why Sen. Joe Lieberman wasn’t around to correct his ‘gaffe’?

What I find funny is how Stephanopoulos didn’t try to correct him.
