Shot and a Beer Clinton Delivers Driving Tips in Pa.
If I didn’t know any better, I would think that Sen. Clinton is talking down to voters in California, Pa during a speech this evening. I’m not sure what could have inspired Hillary’s speech writers to put driving and politics together, and think it would get voters’ attention. During the speech, Hillary was overflowing with metaphors as she tried to drive her point across.
“If you want to go forward you put (the car) in D; if you want to go backwards you put it in R,” she said, before turning to the economic prosperity her husband delivered. “My husband was a pretty good driver.”
And she continued:
“Sen. McCain is a colleague and a friend of mind,” she said. “I deeply respect his service to our country. But he has the wrong ideas. I believe he wouldn’t be steering the car in the right direction.”
I’ve been to Philadelphia a couple of times, and have seen many people driving motor vehicles, so I would guess that residents of the state have a pretty good working knowledge of how to operate a car, so why the “driving 101″ speech?
“D” is for drive, and “R” is for reverse. Got it! Any more insightful tips Hillary?
