Clinton is Done and Limbaugh is an Ass. What Next?

Rush Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos” has ended in failure. So now the only two questions that remain is when is Hillary finally going to realize that her campaign is done, and what new self serving fantasy is Rush going to come up with to stroke his ego?

Firstly, Rush’s “Operation Chaos” didn’t exactly turn out the way he must have envisioned. After issuing orders to his “operatives and commandos” to flood the polls and cast their votes for Hillary in order to keep the Democratic nomination fight going, it obviously didn’t work as planned. At last count, with 92% of precinct reporting, Hillary held a marginal lead of 51% to Obama’s 49%. Hardly a landslide victory for Hillary despite Rush’s “flood” of crossover Republican voters casting ballots for Clinton.

Secondly, despite Rush’s assistance to help Hillary get the nomination she so desperately craves, it seems over for her campaign. She can try to come up with all the mathematical formulas she wants, but the bottom line is that in the face of Obama’s overwhelming victory in North Carolina, and the almost dead heat tie in Indiana, she has run out of time and delegates to even come close to Obama’s lead.

I know that she will now press even harder for the delegates of Florida and Michigan to be seated, but even then it won’t be enough. It’s time for the superdelegates to put an end to this race and put their support behind the candidate who has run the best campaign, and gotten his message across to the Democratic voters of this country.

Clinton had a good run, but it’s time for her to realize that there is much more at stake than just her pride in not winning the nomination. It’s time to rally around the nominee and get ready for the general election. It’s time to concentrate on getting a Democrat in the White House, for the good of the country.

It will be interesting to learn what other half-brained, OxyContin schemes Rush can come up with during the general election.
