If I Were Obama, I’d Be Checking My Brake Lines

Brake lines, toothpaste, watching for falling grand pianos, etc, etc. Why, you may ask? Because Hillary is not done, not done yet at all!

Hillary is vowing to stay in the Democratic race, even though climbing Mount Everest might seem to be a little more achievable than her pulling off the Democratic nomination. The numbers just aren’t there for her campaign any longer. Her campaign piggy bank is full of IOU’s to her self to the tune of $6.4 million, and regardless of what ‘math’ she uses it just doesn’t add up to Clinton getting the nomination nod.

Even using logic that is a stretch from reality, it still seems unlikely that will emerge as the victor. She claims that by seating the Florida and Michigan delegates, she’s right back in the thick of it. And IF the Democratic party used the same system of delegating votes as the Republicans, then she claims she would have the nomination already sewn up. Well, she can count the delegates of Florida and Michigan all she wants, but at the present time they don’t count because the two States were stripped of their delegates for moving the dates of their votes. Yes, it’s shitty that their votes do not count, but their politicians knew of the ramifications they would face if they proceeded to move their voting dates beforehand. Rules are rules. If there is some way to seat the delegates fairly, then lets do it. But as of right now, their votes cannot, and should not be counted. As far as her claim of the Republican Party system giving her the nomination, that may be true. But the Democratic party doesn’t subscribe to their system, so why would she even bring it up as an arguing point for her campaign? Reality check time!

There are only two ways I can see Hillary pulling off the nomination. The first way is some serious kissing ass, along with back room bribery of the Superdelegates remaining to get as many defectors to jump to her side of the playpen. Although a likely plan, it would surely be suicide for the Democratic party’s unity. The second way, would be to push Obama off a cliff. But even that would not necessarily give Clinton an edge. You see, Obama has survived everything Clinton has thrown at him, and he still walks away smelling like a rose, so I doubt whether a cut brake line will slow him down any!

Let’s hope that her pleas for her supporters to send money to her campaign is the last embarrassing thing she does in this race.
