Larry “Wide Stance” Craig, Immortalized With Own BobbleFoot

Bobbleheads. Which popular American personality doesn’t have one resembling themselves? I guess one barometer to measure one’s success and status would be whether or not you have an image of your face perched atop a large spring, which allows your caricaturized head to frantically bounce up and down every time it is slapped with your finger. Oh, the joys of being a celebrity!

Well, its not exactly a bobblehead, but Larry Craig has finally arrived at the celebrity level which is deserving of a bobblehead of himself. Well, not really. It’s actually a “bobblefoot!”

The St. Paul Saints, long known for offbeat, sometimes edgy, promotions, have come up with a real doozy for this Sunday’s game.

While lots of sports franchises hand out bobblehead dolls, usually depicting their players, the Saints are handing out 2,500 “bobblefoot” knicknacks.

The keepsakes consist of a miniature bathroom stall with a couple of lower legs and feet. One of the feet is springloaded and “taps,” which, the Saints’ press release says, is in honor of National Tap Dance Day.

Yeah sure, we’ll go with the “National Tap Dance” story!

Craig Offers “Behind-the-Scenes Look” to Interns

Somehow the term “behind-the scenes look” and an offer to work for Senator Larry Craig is hilarious!

Seems Senator Craig is seeking applications for interns to work in his office for the summer term.

“Interns have the chance to be an essential part of a working congressional office,” said Craig. “They participate in the legislative process as well as ensure that constituent services run smoothly. For those interested in politics, it is an incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at how our government functions while serving the people of Idaho.”

However, being an intern requires that less ‘glamorous’ duties be performed as well. These include answering phones, sorting mail, greeting constituents, and occasionally keeping watch outside any public washroom.

Only Congressmen Can Expect Privacy and Freedom of Speech As Protected by The Constitution!

Oh, I see how it works now! The only people in this country that can expect their civil rights be upheld are U.S. Congressmen trying to clear their name from a guilty plea of disorderly conduct. The rest of us have to suck it up in the name of “keeping America safe” by not knowing when and how our every actions or words are being recorded. Apparently we have to Constitutions in this country! One for them which they wave in our faces whenever they need Constitutional protection. And one for us which is just a goddamned piece of paper!

The Larry ‘I’m not gay’ Craig issue is back again. But who really cares at this point what the gay/not gay Republican Congressman has to say about how he wasn’t looking for sex in a Minneapolis Airport Washroom. It’s how his lawyers are trying to get him off the hook that has me pissed!

During another appeal attempt by Craig to get his guilty plea withdrawn, his lawyers contend that even if Craig “had used hand signals to communicate a desire for sex, such actions would be constitutionally protected free speech.” And that “he had a legal expectation of privacy.”

So I think I have this straight now:
1: Larry Craig can use hand signals to proposition other men in a bathroom for sex, and it is considered constitutionally protected free speech. We the People can’t stand behind a sign protesting Bush’s Iraq war in public without fearing arrest!
2: Larry Craig has an expectation of privacy when he propositions gay sex in a public washroom. We the People are subjected to having our phone calls tapped and emails monitored while in the privacy of our own homes!

Isn’t it amazing how these politicians throw the Constitution in your face when it serves their personal needs, but when it gets in their way they quickly ignore it and call it a piece of paper!

One suggestion Larry: instead of picking up pieces of paper off the men’s room floor that you claim precipitated your arrest, maybe you should pick up the Constitution and read it. It really is worth defending, for the sake of everybody, not just your petty disorderly conduct plea!

Senator Larry “Widestance” Craig gets his pee pee slapped

Senator Larry Craig, the “I’m not gay, even though I pled guilty to soliciting gay sex in a Minneapolis Airport washroom,” has been admonished by the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee.

In a letter sent to Craig this evening, it bluntly states that his side of the story “does not appear to be credible.” The letter also criticizes him for using campaign funds to pay his legal bills trying to clear his name. I’ll bet his constituants back home in Idaho are real happy about that!

OK Larry, the time has come to clean out your desk. Take your wide stance and get a move on to the anals of history as the only U.S. Senator to be busted in a public washroom for soliciting sex with another man. Buh-bye!

Another one? Another “I’m not Gay” Gay Republican Representative busted!

Just when you thought the Larry “Wide Stance” Craig issue was old news, along comes another Republican politician caught in an uncompromising situation. And yes, he too claims he’s not gay either!

Richard Curtis, a Republican state legislator who repeatedly voted against gay rights measures resigned his seat Wednesday amid revelations he had sex with a man he met at an erotic video store while in Spokane on a GOP retreat.

Curtis was among state GOP lawmakers in Spokane Oct. 24-26 for a retreat to discuss the upcoming legislative session. He went to the Hollywood Erotic Boutique early on Oct. 26 and met Cody M.Castagna, who accompanied him to the hotel, police documents said.

The two arrived at the hotel around 3:30 a.m. and had sex, after which Curtis fell asleep, according to documents released Tuesday.

Curtis alleged Castagna took his wallet and later offered to return it for $1,000. Curtis said he only had $200 and left an envelope with the money at the hotel desk, the documents said.

Police reports said Castagna allegedly called Curtis and demanded an additional $800, and threatened to expose Curtis. But Curtis had already contacted police, who listened to the call and then met with Castagna.

To make matters more freakish, in a police report released Tuesday, it stated that Curtis allegedly donned women’s clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act at the store. He continued to wear them throughout the night under his clothing.

Well there you have it. It’s amazing how many politicians will tell you one thing, want you to believe another, and in turn end up being a complete lying phony themselves!

At least Curtis did the right thing and promptly resigned his position saying, “I sincerely apologize for any pain my actions may have caused,” Curtis wrote in a statement. “This has been damaging to my family, and I don’t want to subject them to any additional pain that might result from carrying out this matter under the scrutiny that comes with holding public office.”

Maybe Curtis and Craig can get together and form the “Disgraced Republican Closet Gay Support Group.”
