No we don’t. Yes we do. What are you going to do about it?

In another humiliating blow to America’s credibility, Republicans stop bill to ban waterboarding.

We all suspected the CIA used torture techniques on suspected terrorists, with all the secrecy surrounding rumors of secret prisons overseas. Then Bush gets involved and vigorously states, “We do not torture”. Right then and there, as soon as those 4 words left his lips, we all thought the unthinkable, “Oh my God, we torture!” Not only did we think it, but the rest of the world thinks it too.

To make matters worse, not only does the CIA torture its suspects, but Republican law makers want to make it legal by stopping a bill that would ban its use.

This is a disgusting turn of events to say the least! Waterboarding is torture. Waterboarding is also banned by international law. Why does Bush and Company think America is above International law?

The Presidency is now a Criminal Conspiracy

“We’re Americans sir, and we’re better than that. We’re better than you.”

This was from Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment on Torture which aired last night on MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

Once again his comment about Bush’s lies, half truths, doublespeak and his Administration’s atrocities reach down one’s throat and gives the soul a squeeze.

Keith has been saying about Bush and his Administration what Congress needs to say, but doesn’t have the spine to.

All one has to do is listen to his words, or read the transcript, and one is forced to ask themselves, “Why is Bush still President? And “Where the hell is Congress?” But the question that gnaws at the conscience the most is “How can we the people allow this to happen?”

Keith is right when he states “We’re Americans, and we’re better than that. We’re better than you.”

Pelosi says she was never briefed about secret memos

In an interview with Chris Wallace, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she was never briefed by the Bush Administration on the secret torture memos.

This comes as no surprise. I’m starting to think the only people who knew about the secret torture memos was Bush, Cheney, and Gonzales. Cheney’s office probably wrote the opinions, and had Gonzales sign them while Bush was on another vacation playing golf somewhere.

This fact alone that members of Congress not being briefed about the memos should put impeachment proceedings front and center on this Congress’ agenda. It’s time for Bush criminality to stop!
