Homeland Security Deputy Secretary resigns

Citing personal financial reasons, Homeland Security Deputy Michael P. Jackson resigned today.

“The simple truth, however, is that after over five years of serving with the president’s team, I am compelled to depart for financial reasons that I can no longer ignore.” Jackson said in an email to staff.

Jackson’s resignation is effective October 26.

With 483 days left in the Bush Presidency, one can only wonder who will be next to jump ship.
