AG Gonzalez vows to stay on and fix Justice’s image

What a noble thing to say! After raping, looting and pillaging the Constitution of the United States, and allowing the country to get closer to a police state, he is worried about the Justice Department’s image? Get a grip Abu!

There is only one way to “fix” the Justice Department’s image, and he is not a part of the solution. In other words, as long as he is the AG, and his bosses still occupy the White House, the Justice Department’s “image” is the least of the country’s worries.

The sooner he resigns as Attorney General and takes his rightful place under the rock of obscurity, the sooner the Department’s healing can begin.

Gonzales on hot seat again!

Once again, we the people will be forced to accept “I do not recall” as an acceptable answer from the Country’s top law enforcer when he will face questions about whether or not he mislead Congress in 2005 that the FBI had not abused powers granted under the anti-terror USA Patriot Act despite having received reports of potential violations.

Gonzales has drawn fire from Congress on a number of fronts, from the administration’s treatment of detainees to its warrantless domestic spying program to his controversial firing last year of nine top federal prosecutors.

As if we didn’t already know the outcome of the hearing that is planned for later this month, let me look into the crystal ball and give you all a refresher.

Senate Judiciary Committee: Are you the U.S. Attorney General?
Abu: I don’t recall.

Senate Judiciary Committee: Do you even know what the Constitution of the United States is?
Abu: I don’t recall.

Senate Judiciary Committee: Do you know why you have been brought before this committee?
Abu: Ice Cream?

How much longer can the Bush bus continue to roll down the highway? The wheels have all but fallen off, the steering is loose and unresponsive, and the brakes are shot. The White house is in panic mode, VP Cheney is in CYA mode, and once again Alberto Gonzales will be in “I don’t recall” mode.

Isn’t it time somebody called a wrecker to get this jalopy off the road?
