Not really sure how practical this would be, but coming from the country that has made heated toilet seats, and warm water bidets common household appliances, this doesn’t surprise me.

Who doesn’t like the calming effects of an aquarium full of brightly colored fish, especially while nervously waiting in a Doctor’s waiting room? Well, how about the same aquarium in a restaurant? Only this aquarium is also a deep fryer!

Using the principal that oil floats on water, a Japanese engineer with way too much time on his hands has developed the world’s first deep frying aquarium. Deep fryer on the top, aquarium on the bottom.

With the oil at around 160 degrees Celsius, the fish simply stay away from the top of the aquarium, and keep near the bottom where it’s cooler. They feed on the crumbs and other fried food bits that fall to the bottom.

Does anybody know if fish pee is lighter than water? Or worse, lighter than oil?

If the deep frying aquarium doesn’t float your boat, how about a ‘Fiber optic earwax cleaner’? That’s right, now thanks to modern technology, you can see inside your ears while cleaning them! The Ear Scope TV is a completely self-contained endoscope used to easily see inside your ear as you clean it! Just connect it to your TV, and your ready to entertain the neighbors! The manufacturer claims it has the ability to be used ‘anywhere you want to see’. Enough said.

I stopped reading the article after I read the word ‘endoscope’. In my opinion, anything with the word endoscope in it has no business being made ‘for home use’.

Kudos to the native Alaskan whalers, who have voluntarily cancelled this year’s Beluga whale hunt.

This is the third time in nine years that the annual hunt has been cancelled due to declining numbers of Beluga whales in Cook Inlet.

Native subsistence harvests were thought to be the blame for diminishing numbers of the whale in earlier years. Even with strict hunting limits imposed by the National Marine Fisheries Service, the whales continued to decline in numbers.

Peter Merryman, President of the Village counsel of Tyonek said, “We understand what’s going on. We know the population is declining so we are trying our best to get it back up again. It”s our way to help them out.”

Now if only other whaling nations, like Japan for example, would take note of the actions by the Alaskan Native hunters, whale populations around the globe would have a chance to stave of extinction.

International ban on whaling blamed for woman’s death. An apparent collision between a whale and a ferry en route from Japan to South Korea, leaves one dead and several injured.

Although no whale carcass was found, witnesses claim that a large pool of blood was surrounding the vessel after the collision, leading to the speculation it was a whale that they hit.

A spokeswoman from the Busan Maritime Police blamed the international ban on whaling for the collision. She said an increasing number of whales have been spotted off the Korean peninsula, apparently due to the international ban on whaling.

This is outrageous!

This woman needs help. And if she’s speaking on behalf of her government, then the government needs help too.

I’ve been trying for the past two hours to wrap my wee little head around this statement! I can’t. What spewed from her mouth is inconceivable in terms of logic.

Ignorance can be cured, stupid is forever. What side of the fence is she on?
