White House tells us to mind our own business, not theirs

Only one problem with that statement Mr. Bush Your business IS our business!

The Bush Administration’s latest effort to tell the people to go F*CK ourselves came from the Justice Department today that said “records about missing White House e-mails are not subject to public disclosure.”

So not only are White House e-mails missing, but the records of those missing emails are being kept from us.

The Office of Administration estimates that at least 5 million (That’s with 6 zeros!) e-mails went missing between March 2003 to October 2005. Just “went missing”!

I call bullshit! 1, 2, 10, 15, maybe a 100 emails might get temporarily misplaced in the span of a year, not 5 million! This is the U.S. Government we are talking about, not a Mom and Pop newspaper stand in the middle of a corn field somewhere. Where’s the IT department?

I’ve worked for companies that would ensure the emails employees received and sent were backed up and archived twice, on separate servers before they even received it. Is the Government trying to tell us that their IT department is staffed by the Three Stooges?

Hardly. Those emails are safe and sound in Cheney’s “man sized safe” in his office, or stored securely in the deepest, darkest depths of Rove’s ass!

The Bush Administration is breaking the laws of this country, and using the Constitution as a broom to sweep it’s skeletons under the carpet.

Impeachment should be put back on the table, for the whole lot of those crooks. I’m willing to think the country would be in better hands if it were run by the Postmaster General until the next election!

How many of his feet can Gonzales fit into his mouth at once?

In another extremely painful to watch testimony from Alberto Gonzales today before the Senate Judiciary Committee, he once again has proven his incompetence as the AG.

Blood is still dripping from my ears after today’s grilling of Abu by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) about a memo signed by Gonzales in May, 2006 giving the Vice President’s office, and staff authority to discuss cases with Justice Department officials.

Gonzales looked like a worm on a hook as Whitehouse questioned him:

Sen. Whitehouse: “What-on-earth business does the Office of the Vice President have in the internal workings of the Department of Justice with respect to criminal investigations, civil investigations, and ongoing matters?”

Gonzales: “As a general matter, I would say that’s a good question.”

Sen. Whitehouse: “Why is it here, then?”

Gonzales: “I”d have to go back and look at this.”

“The memo that has your signature makes it worse,” Whitehouse said. As Whitehouse proceeded with his questioning, Gonzales admitted of his own memo, “I must say I’m troubled by this.”

For somebody who wants to “clean up the Justice Department’s image”, it seems pretty unlikely when he resembles a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming train as he stares at a memo with his own signature on it and can’t remember what it means!

Get a load out of his testimony, but don’t think about it too much or else you’re likely to burst your ear drums with a blunt object!

AG Gonzalez vows to stay on and fix Justice’s image

What a noble thing to say! After raping, looting and pillaging the Constitution of the United States, and allowing the country to get closer to a police state, he is worried about the Justice Department’s image? Get a grip Abu!

There is only one way to “fix” the Justice Department’s image, and he is not a part of the solution. In other words, as long as he is the AG, and his bosses still occupy the White House, the Justice Department’s “image” is the least of the country’s worries.

The sooner he resigns as Attorney General and takes his rightful place under the rock of obscurity, the sooner the Department’s healing can begin.

Subpoenas? We don’t need no stinkin’ Subpoenas!

The Senate Judiciary Committee today subpoenaed the White House and Vice President Dick Cheney’s office Wednesday for documents relating to President Bush’s warrantless eavesdropping program. Also named in subpoenas signed by committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D- Vt., were the Justice Department and the National Security Council. The four parties have until July 18 to comply, according to a statement by Leahy’s office.

At this point, Subpoenas are a waste of paper!

A good ol’ fashioned smack-down Impeachment Procedure is what we need! If we’ve learned one thing about the Bush Administration, is Subpoenas are totally useless with them, because they don’t uphold the laws of this country one bit. If there is a law that gets in their way, they either ignore it, or with the help of their little Attorney General troll, they change it!

As long as Cheney continues to call the shots, and Gonzales continues to be willing to shred the Constitution of this country to shreds, Subpoenas will continue to be useless against this administration to right any wrongdoings!

No, what we need is something stronger than a Subpoena. Somebody somewhere has to take one for the team and give Cheney sexual favors! This, it seems is the only way to get an elected official Impeached! Cheney has done a whole lot more wrong than Bubba did to this country 1000 times over, but yet he still remains in office. So I’m thinking it’s time to fight fire with fire!

The task at hand is an ugly one, definitely not for the faint of heart or squeamish. But the person that makes this sacrifice will have the enduring love, respect, and gratitude of an entire nation. To borrow a phrase from one of this country’s past Presidents, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.”

Gonzales Is Said to Seem Confident He Will Stay

Sure, why not? As long as Bush “still supports the attorney general fully and wholly,” he will keep his job.

Even though the Justice Department is in shambles over the dismissals, and the role Mr. Gonzales played in them, he continues to operate as if nothing has changed. On Tuesday he was in Detroit for a civil rights speech!

If anything, we should all be used to the pompous, arrogance of these people that Bush has surrounded himself with. It all trickles down from the top, doesn’t it?
